Scholarship helping beyond
The importance of scholarships help more than just pay for college. Most people don't realize that when you receive a scholarship that it changes your life & helps out those close to you. Such as your family will appreciate it so much knowing that your able to get an education & not have to worry about nothing but feeding yourself. For example in a dangerous neighborhood then your giving & earned a great opportunity to go to college then move away from it. Not everybody can be really good at playing sports or have thousands of stacks of money laying around. So when you earn a scholarship whether for academics or sports or even just applying for good scholarship competition you should use it fully to your advantage.

What I have left to do..
Academically I'm not where I want to be or where i need to be. To get recruited for basketball scholarship you need at least 2.3 or 2.5 . I wish I transferred back to Life Red Oak my Sophomore year because I didn't take my grades serious enough at my last school. Now here my Junior year 5 weeks left until I'm a Senior playing catch trying to do anything to my grades up as much as I can. Just in case my one year of Varsity doesn't help me get any looks so I don't have to pay for school.
As the next 13-14 months go by I might have to adjust my college list & might have to look into going to Juco & transferring after two years. I want to go to a Division 1 school, but I know the reality of it that next year might be my last year playing basketball in uniform. I'm always thinking about after high school should I go overseas & play basketball get paid to do something I love. Then save up to go to school I want. Once i get my degree start working with already still having money from overseas.
- Get my GPA up
- Retake my SAT
- Take some college visits
- Try to get admit to schools

Comparing School Systems
In the US school system I would rate us a 7. We are given a lot more opportunities when you compare us to other countries who don't have as much as us. For example we have tutoring before and after school,if needed other countries kinda have to balance out when they ask there teachers. So I'm thankful that our school is very interactive with students.
College Degree
In my opinion you don't always need a degree to be successful in life. Degrees only show that you attended school again after high school. Major corporations would like there employees because it looks good on the company & raises the imagine on the company. So its not really worth it but if you get into college on scholarship & FASFA use it. Just make sure you pick a major you can see yourself using as a career.
