Christmas Break

My plans for Christmas break are to enjoy the time off from school & get time to myself. I think ill go to a park or recreation center & go play basketball since its state law we cant practice as a team for at least 5-6 days. Also probably go try to get my car so I don't have to rely on nobody picking me up or having me late. Then finally I think I'm going to get some more Jordan's & clothes for Christmas & a few games. Then maybe get another tattoo to kick off the year 2015. Those are plans for Christmas break. I hope you have Merry Christmas & Happy New Year if you read this blog post.

Why I want to go to College

The reasons why I want to go to college is because I want to be first Reed in my family to go to college. Also I want to play college basketball & use the scholarship to get my education & be worry free about paying for school. Then after I finish college I'm going to start my own psychology firm & just study & help people with there problems. Plus I want to see how colleges feels out side of the classrooms, having freedom to do whatever I want. Ill have a job, my own apartment & a paid off car. Those are the reasons I want to go to college.

Thanksgiving Break

My plans for Thanksgiving break is to sleep, go to basketball practice & eat. I have a few games over the break & practice. So I just plan just to enjoy basketball,sleeping, watch TV & sleep. I don't plan on going anywhere or visiting anybody. There welcome to come over but i rather stay at home, relax & be comfortable.

Getting a JOB

A job I found online that's appropriate for my age & students was working at Foot Locker. To work at Foot Locker you must have good communication skills, must know when shoes are coming in. Also it wouldn't hurt to have a good collection of shoes your self. To prepare for the interview the possible interview I would be comfortable because its not like its a nerve wrecking job. From what I researched there where like 3 interviews for part-time. It was over the phone & then you'll have two in one day. Then the difficulty of finding another job just like isn't hard especially in Dallas. In my opinion its pretty laid back job for any young person my age & still going to school. After the school year & basketball is winding down i will be looking to work there myself. I like helping people find what they want. Also if you work there long enough you'll get a discount on product you receive in the store such as shoes, shorts,hats,sock,shirts & etc.

Homeless to Harvard Reflection

My reflection looking back on the movie its very humbling. It humble me more because I'm fortunate to have a stable house hold & blessed to still have one of my parents. While watching the movie I can kinda relate to some parts as having family members on drugs. Also the movie was motivational. It makes me work harder at trying to do better in the classroom to make sure I don't ever have to go through what Liz did. What ever I do as a career want make sure my family is set. My favorite part of the movie was when the honored Liz at the end when she gave the speech at the New York Times press conference. Knowing she doing very well for her self & she is still continuing getting different degrees.

College budget

While doing this college budget the most surprising was the only making $10 hour as a job & finding an apartment that fits your needs & maybe taking consideration of having a roommate. I expect to have a decent apartment & good job hours while attending school. Now that's what I have to do to prepare my self for college & making sure i have a roof over my head I think I will be ready when my time comes. Things i can do to help me in the future start saving up my money & make me get in the gym even more so I don't have to pay for nothing but food & clothes. These next two years I'm not just going to work hard in the classroom but also the court so I can get a full ride & just hoop for my scholarship.

Future Career

The most interested career I'm interested in is playing Basketball Overseas or the NBA. Its something I love & wanted to do since I was a little kid. Also I know if i keep working hard in the Classroom, on the court, & in the weight room ill continue getting better. I want to pursue basketball because it would help me & mom out financially,then its always been my dream to make my pops proud that i made it to the NBA or playing overseas. There for my mama & pops are my motivation to keep getting better & working harder. But just in case something happens ill go into psychology as my back up career, because i like helping people with there problems & studying the mind.

Stress

Honestly not to me many things can stress me out no more. The first two weeks of school were probably the only thing I would stress the most, because my Pops past away Thursday in the 1st week of school. After that & keeping my mom from crying, now I don't stress on anything not school,sports,girls. Because my mind is so set on making him proud just like if was still down here with me. You can say that I'm care free & little selfish because I'm on my grind to make sure i graduate high school get recruited so mama don't have to pay for me to go to college. That's all I can do & look out for me then make sure my mom good. So when people tease me about my gray hair saying it stress, its not just heredity & wisdom. Also on that test I was in the 1-6 category & i got 5.

Calendars & planning

My current organized schedule is having a check list in my mind when I get home. So far it has worked 75 percent of the time for me, the only thing is when I do the check list is I might not remember test or quizzes just homework. But I like my system because it works for me & how I operate in my life. I turned in all homework, write down notes & go tutoring. Its just my test grades aren't were I want them to be. That's how procuration hurts me besides that procuration been working for me when it comes to just passing. But this year I want to get back on honor roll & get a 3.6gpa at least. I fight procuration by staying organized, then see what I can do to study more & be more focused.
